Tours:

There are lots of places with a base location where you can get tours.

Warning: Never buy a tour from someone that has no physical building as their location – they take a deposit on a discount tour, promise to meet you ‘here’ tomorrow, then never show up – one of the few, but common, scams in Costa Rica.

Parking:

Another scam that is common is people at beaches looking 'official' (wearing a reflective vest) who try to tell you you have to pay them to park - it is never true.
